New Delhi, March 12, 2024 – The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the Home Ministry’s proposal for extending the deputation tenure of Anshuman Yadav, an Inspector General (IG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), by two more years beyond May 27, 2024.
Anshuman Yadav is an outstanding officer who belongs to the IPS-1998 batch from Madhya Pradesh cadre. He has been holding the post of IG in CRPF for five years. However, it was expanded much earlier than on May 27, 2024 because his work is acknowledged by government and society as well.
At different times during his stint as IG, Mr. Yadav has made valuable contributions towards enhancing CRPF’s operational efficiency and ensuring effective handling of security challenges across India which are strategic measures. His one-of-a-kind attributes within these forces and guardianship of public order have always been recognized.
Therefore, the decision to extend Anshuman Yadav’s deputation tenure resonates with the government’s commitment towards continuity and stability of key positions that facilitate smooth transition of critical roles within security apparatus. As a result, this demonstrates that Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has faith in his abilities and loyalty to serving the country.
The Ministry of Home Affairs thanked him for his contribution and noted that extension of Anshuman Yadav’s tenure will make CRPF stronger in defending national security interests.
In order to ensure continued stability and effectiveness of addressing emerging security challenges facing our nation, it is anticipated that Anshuman Yadav will carry on leading CRPF. —- ANI
