  • 20 gm Pipali
  • 25 grams cinnamon
  • 10 grams of bay leaves
  • 10 grams Nagakesar
  • 1 gram saffron
  • 10 grams small cardamom
  • 250 grams of honey
  • Sugar as required

Method of preparation:

  • First, wash the Indian gooseberry.
  • Now heat about 5 litres of water in a big pot.
  • Add all the boiling ingredients other than the bun.
  • Now wrap the bunion in a cloth, and tie it well and put it in water.
  • Let it cook for about two hours on medium heat.
  • After cooking for two hours, leave it for 12 hours.
  • Now put all the gooseberries in a vessel, and take out their kernels.
  • Amla becomes soft after boiling, so the kernels will come out easily.
  • Now crush Amla to make it pulp.
  • After this, mix sesame oil and ghee and put it in a pot, and heat it.
  • After both oil and ghee are heated together, add amla pulp to it.
  • Keep in mind that is used only iron pan.
  • Fry it well for about half an hour.
  • When frying the gooseberry well, the ghee will start to separate from it.
  • Then add sugar to it and then cook it.
  • Remember that keep stirring it well with the ginger or else it will start sticking.
  • When it becomes thick, turn off the gas for a while.
  • Meanwhile, prepare fine powder by grinding Pipli, Cinnamon, bay leaf, Nagkasar, saffron and small cardamom.
  • Now after the amla paste cools down, put the prepared powder in it.
  • Add 250 grams of honey as well.
  • After, doing so, mix the paste well.
