What is Management Quota in IPU and How to apply for it?

I’ve been asked hundreds of time about the Management Quota on Facebook, Forum and through E-mails so, I have decided to write a detailed article on the Management Quota Admission system which is offered by most of the self-financing (private) institutes and colleges affiliated to the State University of Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) which is also known as IP University and IPU.

Attention: IP University doesn’t have Donation System, if someone asks for donation and promises for admission report to the University and the Police immediately.

What is Management Quota?

Most of the private colleges affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) have a certain percent of seats reserved as Management Quota. The seats are in the hands of the college management and hence named after management Quota. Under the management quota the college can give admission to any student who have given and passed the CET exam conducted by the GGS IP University.

How to take admission or apply for the admission under Management Quota?

Management Quota is like a lifesaver and an opportunity to take admission in IP University especially for those students who have failed to get admission through the normal counselling process or have not secured good CET rank in the Common Entrance Test. Those who wish to take admission under management quota can directly approach the college and ask them about the admission process and can also discuss the necessary things as admission fees and annual fees etc. before taking the admission.

Who are eligible for taking admission in Management Quota?

All the students, including the students from the National Capital Region of Delhi and Outside Delhi and who have given Common Entrance Test (CET) are eligible for taking admission under the Management Quota no matter what rank they have secured. Under Management Quota your rank is not considered, but it is mandatory to have CET rank.

Can I take admission under Management Quota even if I’ve not given the Common Entrance Test (CET)

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has very strict norms about the admission process. No college can give you admission under the Management Quota if you have not given and passed the Common Entrance Test. If in case any college offers you admission under the Management quota will be considered as illegal and unfair means of taking admission and you will be liable for the punishment.

How much CET Rank is required for taking admission in Management Quota?

As I’ve already mentioned above that for taking admission under Management Quota your CET rank is not considered, but you must have given and passed the Common Entrance Test (CET).

Do main campus of IP University offer Management Quota?

There are many study centres managed and owned by IP University known as the University Schools. No, there is no provision of Management Quota in the main campus of the IP University. The management quota is only limited up to the private i.e. the self-financing colleges that are affiliated to GGS IP University.

What is difference between the admissions offered under Management Quota and through regular admission process?

Most of students and parents are confused about the concept of “Management Quota” where there is hardly or you can say no difference in the admission taken through the regular counselling process and the management quota. The only difference between the Management Quota and the regular admission process is the fees! The fee for the management quota will be a bit higher as compared to the admission taken through the normal admission process. The fee may vary from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 20,000 (annually). About the details on the fee you can directly contact the college in which you want to take admission.

What is the fees of the Management Quota?

There is a minor difference in the fees for the management quota, but no one can tell you the actual amount of the fee for the Management Quota except the college in which you want to take admission. The fees vary from college to college and subject to subject, therefore the best way to find the fee is to contact the college directly.

Is Management Quota like giving donation and taking admission?

No! There is no concept of donation in IP University for taking admission rather it is a punishable offense and will be considered as the unfair means of taking admission. You may also the charges of corruption and bribe.

What are subject in which Management Quota is available?

Management Quota is available for all the subjects as B.Com (H), BBA, BCA, B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, BA LLB, BBA LLB, ETE etc.
