Songs and Music are the part of the life which one cannot separate their self from. People throughout history have used songs in order to relieve their past memories and allow them to express their emotions. It has become an inseparable part of life, people’s relationships, and also foster communication. Every time an individual feels sad, they tend to listen to songs, feel happy to listen to songs, want to express their anger or disgust, they tend to listen to songs. So, every time in every mood and in every situation, individuals tend to move towards songs as it helps to calm one’s mind, express emotions and soothe the body and soul.

Songs and Music help an individual in every stage of his/her life, starting from childhood as in childhood, it allows the child to explore the world out there and understands it, in adolescence, it helps the person to move on through their breakup relationships or friendships and heavy load from studies and schools and enlighten up their mood, for an adult it helps them to calm their mind and have some quality time with their earlier memories and themselves.

There are hundreds of Bollywood songs that are produced every year, from which some impact the audience in such a way that they are termed as “Evergreen songs” (Best songs) which one cannot forget in their lifetime and which enhances their mood every time they listen to it. And, some include songs that are not that much loved or impacts people. In the latest years, there has been an occurrence of a culture where producers and actors remake evergreen songs and try to give the audience a new taste of their loved songs. This has become a trend now, and in every movie, there are 1 or 2 songs which are remade to get the audience love and support.

So, Bollywood songs which got a remake in the year 2020 and which has impacted all lot of audience throughout the months of this year.

The 13 recreated Bollywood songs of 2020 are the followings:

1. I am a disco dancer 2.0

I am a disco dancer, the song was released in 1982, and it starred Mithun Chakraborty, Rajesh Khanna, Kim Yashpal. It was in the movie Disco dancer, the singer was Vijay Benedict, and the lyricist was Anjaan. This song shows more of glittering outfits and disco moves. This song was remade in 2020 and starred Tiger shroff. It was in the movie I am a disco dancer 2.0, the singer was Benny Dayal, and the lyricist was Anjaan. According to the audience, the original part of this song was most loved which was done by Mithun Chakraborty, and many have praised tiger shroff and the song I am a disco dancer 2.0, but it has stated that “it hasn’t been on the mark as the earlier song was”. The earlier song was given some disco and groove moves and considered as one of the best songs, but the latest one has more of a break-dance.

2. Mere Angne Me

Mere Angne Me, the song was released in 1981, and it starred Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, and Amjad Khan. It was in the movie Laawaris, the singer was Amitabh Bachchan himself, and the lyricist was Anjaan. This song was remade in 2020 and starred Jacqueline Fernandez, Khushi Joshi, and Asim Riaz. It was an album, the singer was Neha Kakkar, and Raja Hasan and the lyrics were done by Vayu. Mere Angne me(original one) was used in a movie which goes with the storyline of the movie, and it was very much loved by the audience whereas mere Angne me(new one) is an album which unfolds the two a time travel angle between two eras- Current time and 1435 AD. It was not a part of any movie; instead, it was an album release at the time of the pandemic. It was not loved as much as the original was loved.

3. Ik Zindagi

Ek Jindari, the song was released in 2017, and it starred Irrfan Khan, Saba Qamar, and Deepak Dobriyal. It was in the movie Hindi Medium, the singer was Sanghvi, and the lyricist was Kumaar. This song was remade in 2020 and starred Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madaan. It was in the movie Angrezi Medium, singer Tanishkaa Sanghvi, Sachin-Jigar, and lyricist was Kumar. These both songs are loved by the audience as it impacts people with a very resourceful message that is education for children. And, it also starred Irrfan khan who is most loved by the audience.

4. Mile Sur Mera Tumhara

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara was released in 1988, and it starred various celebrities from different fields such as actors, musicians, sportspersons, etc. It was an album, and sung in different languages by various singers such as Pandit Bhim Sen Joshi, Lata Mangeshkar, and, the lyricist was Piyush Pandey. This song was remade in 2020 and starred Varun Dhawan, Sharadha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva. It was in the movie Street Dancer 3D, the singer was Navraj Hasan, Shalmali Kholgade, and Divya Kumar, and lyricist was Vayu. Both songs show patriotism in which the first one shows in the context of India and unity, whereas the other one shows unity but in the context of a dance competition and gives a storyline.

5. Kya Karte The Saajna

Kya Karte The Saajna song was released in 1990, and it starred Sahil Chadha & Veverly. It was in the movie Lal Dupatta Malmal Ka, and the singer was Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal, the lyricist was Majrooh Sultanpuri. This song was remade in 2020 and starred Ayushman Khurana and Jitendra Kumar. It was in the movie Shubh mangal Zyada Savdhaan, the singer was Zara Khan, and Anuradha Paudwal, the lyricist, was Vayu. The songs were loved by the audience where the first song depicted a love romance between two people (male and female), the remix of this song depicted the romance between two same-gender males, and it was most loved by the audience due to its pop beats.

6. Dus Bahane Karke Le Gaye Dil

Dus Bahane Karke Le Gaye Dil, the song was released in 2011, and it starred Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed Khan. It was in the movie Dus, and the singer was KK, Shaan and, the lyricist was Panchhi Jalonvi. This song was Remade in 2020, and it starred Tiger Shroff & Shardha Kapoor. It was in the movie Baaghi 3, and the singer was Vishal & Shekhar Ft. kk, Shaan & Tulsi and lyricist was Panchhi Jalonvi. The new version of this song was initially loved by the audience, but then after comparison of both the songs (original and new), it was not much loved, and even jokes were circulated on this song as the earlier song was a chartbuster starring many big superstars. However, the lyrics and feel of the new song are quite the same as the old songs.

7. Arey Pyaar Karle

Arey Pyaar Karle, the song was released in 1985, and it starred Anil Kapoor and Amrita Singh. It was in the movie Saaheb, and the singer was S. Janaki, Bappi Lahiri and, the lyricist was Anjaan. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Aayushman Khurana and Jitendra Kumar. It was in the movie Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan, and the singer was Bappi Lahiri and Ayushman Khurana and, the lyricist was Vayu. Both the songs were liked by the audience. The earlier song was a disco track and had amazing beats which the new song has tried to remix it with the energy of the Bappi da’s voice who has sung the earlier song as well. The new song was also loved by the audience due to its cast and storyline of the movie.

8. Ole Ole

Ole-ole song was released in 1994, and it starred Saif Ali Khan and Kajol. It was in the movie Yeh Dillagi, the singer was Abhijeet Bhattacharya, and the lyricist was Sameer. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Saif Ali Khan and Tabu. It was in the movie Jawaani Janeman, and the singer was Amit Mishra and, the lyricist was Shabbir Ahmed. Both the songs were good in their lyrics and beats and were loved by people. The remix of the song was a new fresh version, but the vibe and feel were the same as the original. Both the songs starred the same cast, and it is considered as one of the best remixes which reminds everyone the iconic and evergreen song of the ’90s (the original one) and its hook step too.

9. Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo

Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo, the song was released in 1997, and it starred Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, and Abhishek Bachchan. It was in the album “Dus-a tribute to Mukul S. Anand”, the singer was Udit Narayan, Shankar Mahadevan, Dominique & Mahalakshmi, and, the lyricist was Sameer. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Prabhu Deva, the singer was Shankar Mahadevan & Udit Narayan and, the lyricist was Sameer. Both the songs were good as they both were on the concept of patriotism from which the first one was the tribute, and the remake was in the context of a dance competition and showed unity in diversity.

10. Masakali

Masakali, this song was released in 2009, and it starred Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor. It was in the movie Delhi-6, the singer was Mohit Chauhan and, the lyricist was Prasoon Joshi. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. It was an album, singer Tulsi Kumar & Sachet Tandon and, the lyricist was Tanishk Bagchi & Prasoon Joshi and. The original song was loved by the audience. However, the second song was unable to gather support, and it was criticized as the audience state that it has ruined the vibe of the earlier song.

Pyaar Tenu Karde Gabru, the song was released in 2011, and it starred Honey Singh. Gabru original song was really praised by the audience as that time honey Singh was very famous among people and when this remake version was made, it received a lot of criticisms because it was a remix, but the earlier one was a Punjabi song, and a new one was a pure Bollywood Hindi song.

12. Badan Pe Sitare

Badan Pe Sitare song was released in 1969, and it starred Shammi Kapoor and Vyjaynthimala. It was in the movie Prince, and the singer was Mohammad Rafi and, the lyricist was Hasrat Jaipuri. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Asim Riaz and Schnoor. It was an album, and the singer was Stebin Ben & Sehnoor and, the lyricist was Kunaal Vermaa. Both the songs were loved by the audience, but there is not much review gained yet as the song was just released two days ago. However, the previous was another blockbuster and counted as an evergreen song.

13. Ye Dua Hai Meri Rab Se

Ye Dua Hai Meri Rab Se song was released in 1992, and it starred Karishma Kapoor and Rahul Roy. It was in the movie Sapne Saaajn Ke, and the singer was Alka Yagnik & Kumar Sanu and, the lyricist was Anwar Sagar. This song was remade in 2020, and it starred Jubin Nautiyal. It was an album, and the singer was Rochak Kohli Ft. Jubin Nautiyal and, the lyricist was Rashmi Virag. Both the songs have very good lyrics but the original song was more loved by the audience as it was a part of the movie and had a very good and famous cast.
